Spring is a magnificent and lovely time to visit Carmel, the Big Sur Coast, Pebble Beach and the surrounding area. Its natural beauty is highlighted through rolling green hills on the coastline with colorful pockets of wildflowers in bloom. And though the weather is not always predictable most of the time and as I am writing this it is sunny and 70.

As many of us are sheltering into place, it is a wonderful opportunity to day dream yourself into an adventure to Carmel. To all of our return guests and soon to be new guests, all of us here at the Lamp Lighter have decided to bring Spring to you. Walk on the purple sand at Pfeiffer St. Beach, featuring an 80-foot waterfall that drops from granite cliffs into the ocean from the Overlook Trail.

Explore the chic boutiques, antiques and galleries in the European-style seaside village of Carmel by-the-Sea.

Let the day go to the dogs!
An afternoon run on Carmel’s beautiful “leash-free” beach is sure to build up a thirst, to be quenched at “Yappy Hour” where you’ll mingle with locals and visitors alike at Cypress Inn’s pet-friendly “Terry’s Lounge”, co-owned by legendary screen star Doris Day. Mutt-tini, anyone?
